Kevin Roberts, 47, was taken to University Hospital after being shot near 12 First Ave. around 8 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Bloomfield Public Safety Director Samuel A. DeMaio said.
He was pronounced dead around 9:15, they said.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is active and ongoing.
